One of a kind.
Stars and wart-hogs...Hog Heaven!; this hand-crafted throw is a light-hearted expression of joy.
This African wax print of wart-hogs has been one of my favorites. This fabric is no longer available, so I prize the few quilts I’ve been able to make with them.
Hearts line the side borders and the variety of patchwork fabrics add a whimsical note.
African wax prints are a special and distinctive style of textile design technique. The book African Wax Prints, A Textile Journey, by Magie Relph and Robert Irwin trace the development of these fabrics from early Dutch/Java Colonial days. (Two of my quilts are featured in this publication.)
